Establishment medicine perpetuates the cholesterol myth

Last week the British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM) published an article debunking longstanding claims that saturated fat clogs arteries and pointing out that coronary disease is a chronic inflammatory condition. Even though studies bear the author out, the article created quite a stir in orthodox medicine.

Orthodox medicine embracing the food-is-medicine concept

One of my main criticisms of orthodox medicine over the years has been the lack of real nutritional training and understanding for and by doctors. My years of research led me to understand that almost all of America’s health problems are directly related to diet. In other words, when Americans get sick, what they need is a wholesale change in diet, not synthetic chemicals to mask the symptoms of disease. Many researchers in the past and the present know this, and I’ve written about it for more than 20 years. Now orthodox medicine is finally listening.

Deciphering the new PSA test guidelines

Is confusion the order of the day in the medical community? It would seem so, because every few years or so another respected (by medical orthodoxy) and influential government advisory panel will issue new, contradictory recommendations that send patients into a state of confusion and into the arms of orthodox doctors for clarity. This time it’s the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force reversing its advice of five years ago regarding men and the prostate specific antigen (PSA) test.

Do we need vitamins for health?

The vitamin business is for the most part a huge deception simply because at least 90 percent of vitamins are synthetics. They are extractions or chemical creations of laboratories. They are man-made and, by strict definition, they are drugs. Most of these vitamins are produced by just a few pharmaceutical companies. They are repackaged and repurposed and renamed to give the illusion of choice.

The medical establishment’s culture of death

By gradual socialization and the influence of medical and drug establishment change agents, together with a cooperative, controlled mass media and government, the public mind was changed until people began to perceive of hospitals as a place of prolonging life. Detoxifying the body’s city dump

The human liver was created to be a human garbage disposal. But in many people their liver is a city dump. The result is that over-waste means overwork. The liver is the focal organ of sickness and disease because the liver accumulates toxins from an over indulgent body until it is overloaded, breaks down and disease becomes apparent.

Vitamin A, the common cold and infection

Vitamin A is not very stable. Since it is easily destroyed by heat and we cook almost everything, we don’t get nearly enough vitamin A. Researchers have also concluded that pesticides and other environmental factors inhibit our body’s ability to use vitamin A. Alcohol use, medications and any medical condition that interferes with the body’s digestion of fat also contribute to deficiency.

Why marriage is good for your health

Researchers have found that those who are married produce lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol than those who have never been married or who were previously married. Cortisol is produced during prolonged periods of stress and it has been shown to interfere with the body’s ability to regulate inflammation which leads to the development and progression of many diseases.

Feeling anxious? Try meditation

Today’s always-on society means that Americans find fewer and fewer opportunities for quiet self reflection. And that’s leading to soaring rates of anxiety, which can be a precursor to more serious health problems. But if your doctor has suggested you try an anti-anxiety prescription, you may want to forego the side effects and try this instead.

Northern Hemisphere Potentially In Great Danger As Fukushima Radiation Spikes To ‘Unimaginable’ Levels

Radiation inside one of the damaged reactors at the Fukushima nuclear power facility has reached an “unimaginable” level according to experts. Because so much nuclear material from Fukushima escaped into the Pacific Ocean, there are many scientists that believe that it was the worst environmental disaster in human history, but most people in the general […]
